Wow! Check out this gorgeous display from Books Inc. Mountain View, CA. Love!
An original book of essays by the philosopher Schopenhaur that once belonged to film star Louise Brooks!

In Laura Moriarty’s novel THE CHAPERONE, a young Louise defies convention by reading Schopenhauer, instead of more traditional 1920’s YA fare. Louise’s niece Rosie stopped by Laura’s event at Watermark Books in Wichita last week and brought the original book of essays which the real Louise read when she was young. Incredible!
Bookseller Beth Golay at Watermark Books in Wichita, Kansas (Louise Brooks’ hometown) gets into the Louise Brooks look with Laura Moriarty’s The Chaperone in hand.

Here’s one more! Watermark’s amazing front-window display for THE CHAPERONE. Love the vintage film reels!
